St. Mary's topples Chaminade, 75-70

Billy White scored 17 points and St. Mary's University overcame Leon Ballard's game-high 27 points to beat Chaminade, 75-70, last night at McCabe Gym.

St. Mary's is 1-0, while Chaminade dropped to 2-1.

Led by White's 12 rebounds, St. Mary's out-rebounded Chaminade, 49-35, including 21-13 on the offensive boards. Ballard led Chaminade with 14 rebounds.
