ANIMAL COMPANIONS
Meet Miss February 2003

Nappy Fernandes is the featured pet for February 2003 in the Hawaiian Humane Society's Pets in Paradise calendar. This "American Beauty" guinea pig belongs to Cynde Fernandes. More than 1,280 photos of pets are printed in the colorful 56-page calendar, available now at the society's customer service desk for $10 each. Proceeds help with care for animals at the shelter.

Adoptables

Jerry
Tag No. 12974

He'll have you at 'hello.' Jerry wears a coat of orangy beige with white stripes, accenting his compelling golden eyes. Since he gets along with other cats and adores people, you can fall in love with Jerry and live happily ever after.

Simba
Tag No. 09981

This 8-year-old Chihuahua is snuggling with a stuffed Santa to remind you about the November Toy Drive at the humane society. Bring a new pet toy to the bin on the lanai. Then visit with Simba, a one-eyed bundle of energy who needs someone to love.

These particular animals already may have found new homes. Please visit to see all the wonderful pets in person. The Hawaiian Humane Society & McInerny Dog Park at 2700 Wai'alae Ave. are open Mondays through Fridays noon to 8 p.m., and weekends and holidays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The incoming animals area always is open. If you have lost or found an animal, phone the society immediately at 946-2187, ext. 285. See www.hawaiianhumane.org.
