Tonight's Must-See

"Erin Brockovich" (2000), 7 p.m., NBC. The real-life Erin Brockovich blends opposite images. Her surface is cheery with a tendency toward big hair, bright colors and low necklines. Underneath is a tough core. From her lowly job in a law office, Brockovich battled a giant power company.

The movie "Erin Brockovich" also has those opposites. The film is often bright and breezy. Julia Roberts gets laughs and warmth as an underdog (divorced, with three kids and no money) who won't quit. Director Steven Soderbergh led Roberts to an Academy Award for best actress in this moving tale.

Of Note

"Intimate Portrait," 7 p.m., Lifetime. Here's a profile of the fascinating Sharon Osbourne. On MTV's "The Osbournes," which starts its second season Tuesday, viewers love the way she nurtures her kids and her oft-baffled husband (Ozzy). Between seasons, she learned she has colon cancer. Now she reflects on her past and future.

"Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye," 7 p.m., Pax TV. If you missed this terrific episode the first time, here's a quick rerun. It pairs two talented actors who happen to be hearing-impaired and married to each other. One is Deanne Bray, who stars as a new FBI employee. The other is Troy Kotsur, arrested as a car thief. Now she needs key information. In a first, some of their dialogue is in sign language with subtitles.

"King of Queens," 7 p.m., CBS. Carrie is supposed to help Deacon impress his family with a big Thanksgiving dinner.

"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. When she gets glasses, Marie is even quicker to point out everyone's flaws.

"CSI: Miami," 9 p.m., CBS. A controversial professor is found dead.
