Researcher gives talk on biotech
University Connections' free monthly brown-bag "Meet the Researchers" event today will feature Dr. Charles Boyd from the University of Hawai'i's Pacific Biomedical Research Center, speaking on the genetics of rare hereditary diseases and how this research relates to biotechnology industry development in Hawai'i.
Dr. James Hastings from The Queen's Medical Center will also comment. The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 20-B, Alii Place, 1099 Alakea St.

"The 21st Century Entrepreneur," a seminar to learn the ins and outs of raising money, will be held Dec. 10.
