Saturday's UH-Alabama game sold out

Saturday's football game between Hawai'i and Alabama is sold out, according to Aloha Stadium officials.

The last sellout for a UH football game was last season's final game against Brigham Young. This is the fourth home sellout in June Jones' four seasons as UH's head coach.

"We think this is good for the University of Hawai'i and the state of Hawai'i," UH athletic director Herman Frazier said. "When I first came here (in August), we thought we might have one or two sellouts. It looks like this will be one of them. It's a tribute to the support we receive around here for our team and it also shows Hawai'i is a destination that people want to visit."

Alabama used its entire allotment of 6,000 tickets. In addition, Crimson Tide fans bought at least another 2,000 tickets through the Internet.
