• Dec. 7 — Aloha Academy of Golf's Junior Mental Skills Seminar. At Ko'olau Golf Club. Learn a variety fo Sport Psychology concepts and techniques to help improve your performance both on and off the golf course. From 10 a.m. to noon. Fee: $25. Information: Darryl Oshiro, 258-5187.
• Dec. 9 — America's Golf Challenge. At New 'Ewa Beach Golf Club. To benefit Campbell High School. Noon shotgun start. Fee: $85 ($55 tax deductible). Information: Course, 689-8351 or Jeff Alexander, 689-3164.
• Dec. 13 — Swing Development with Joe Thiel. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., Navy-Marine Golf Course. Thiel is a Golf Magazine top 100 instructor and three-time teacher of the year in the Northwest PGA Section. Cost: $25, includes lunch. Limited to first 25 PGA members, who will earn three continuing education hours. Information: Aloha Section PGA office, 593-2232.
• Dec. 12 — Aloha Section annual meeting and luncheon deadline. Luncheon is on Dec. 16 at Hawai'i Prince Hotel, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost: $25. Information: Aloha Section PGA office, 593-2232.
• Jan. 8 — Sony Open in Hawaii qualifying entry deadline. Qualifying is Jan. 13 at Pearl Country Club. Entry fee: $400. Eligibility: Professional golfers and amateurs with a 2 handicap or less.Information: Aloha Section PGA office, 593-2232.
