Candidates to be in Maunawili

Duke Aiona and Matt Matsunaga, candidates for lieutenant governor, will headline a Meet the Candidates night at 6:30 tomorrow at Maunawili Elementary School, 1465 Ulupii St.

They will join candidates from all races that will appear on ballots in Kailua and Waimanalo.

Candidates debate tonight

Democratic incumbent Sylvia Luke and Republican challenger Signe Godfrey, candidates for House District 26 (Punchbowl, Nu'uanu), will take part in a live TV debate tonight as part of the "Vote! 2002: Candidates Debate" series sponsored by 'Olelo Community Television.

The debate will air from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oceanic Channel 54 and Oceanic Digital Control.
