Two opportunities to get an "inside peek" at some of the community's designer homes are upcoming:

• The 15th ANNUAL GREAT KITCHEN AND BATH TOUR, sponsored by the local chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 20 as a benefit for Hawai'i Habitat for Humanity. The event will open to the public some of Hawai'i's showcase homes and the latest in kitchen and bath design in areas including Hawai'i Loa Ridge, Kahala, Diamond Head, Punchbowl, Tantalus, Kailua, 'Aiea and Mililani. • The 2002 PARADE OF HOMES, presented by Bank of Hawaii, is scheduled for two weekends: Saturday and Sunday, and Oct. 19 and 20, at various new home sites on O'ahu, Kaua'i and the Big Island. Information: Sonya Kimura, 847-4666 (#206).

• The Hawai'i Advertising Federation (HAF) will host an appearance of MTV news anchor and author KURT LODER. Loder, host of MTV News' "The Week in Rock," "1515" and MTV specials, will speak on "Business with a Beat: The Rise and Rise of MTV," at the HAF meeting, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, Mauna Kea Room. • A free COMPUTER BOOT CAMP is offered 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays to small-business owners interested in using computer technology to improve and expand business operations and management. The program is sponsored by the Small Business Resource Center, in partnership with the Small Business Administration, the city Office of Economic Development, Hawai'i Small Business Development Center Network, Hawai'i Women's Business Center, and SCORE.
