Hawai'i's Benny Agbayani will hold his first M.Y.T.H. Youth Foundation's Baseball Clinic Nov. 16 at Mililani High School.

The clinic will be held 8 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. It is open to children ages 11-18. Cost is $50, which includes a T-shirt and lunch. The clinic is limited to 100 participants.

Applications are available at schools and at all City Bank branches starting tomorrow. Deadline to register is Oct. 31.

Agbayani said some other Hawai'i pro players are being recruited to help with the clinic, as well as high school baseball coaches. All aspects of the game — pitching, catching, fielding and hitting — will be covered in the clinic.

The M.Y.T.H. (Motivate Yourself to the Highest) Foundation was created in January to help children of Hawai'i "who do not have access or resources for programs designed to further develop their athletic potential and build their character," according to the foundation's mission statement.

Agbayani said the foundation is his way of giving back to the community.

"(The fans) have always been good to me during my career," he said.

Although he will be playing in the Mexican Pacific League, Agbayani said he will return for the clinic.
