Wakeboarders sought for meet

Competitors may still enter the Hawai'i Wakeboard Pro Am-State Championships on Oct. 19 at Ke'ehi Lagoon Boat Harbor.

Entry fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt. The competition has divisions for all skill levels. A boat shuttle will be available from the harbor to the competition site.

Wakeboarders use what looks like a snowboard to ski on the waves created by a power boat. Competitors can perform jumps and spins.
