TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. For nearly three decades, "Saturday Night Live" has wobbled between good and bad moments. Now, under head writers Dennis McNicholas and Tina Fey, the show seems to be prospering. Last week's season opener had a few lame sketches and several winners, including a wonderful dramatization of Britney Spears breaking up with Justin Timberlake. Maybe that will continue tonight. Sarah Michelle Gellar (the "Buffy" star who is a good sketch comedian) hosts; Faith Hill sings. "Star Trek: Insurrection" (1998), 8-10 p.m., NBC. The crew discovers a planet where people live sweet, uncluttered lives. A bad guy (Murray Abraham) wants to take over. Patrick Stewart must decide whether to violate the Prime Directive and intervene.
