Rainbow Wahine tickets on sale

University of Hawai'i women's basketball season tickets are on sale at the Stan Sheriff Center box office.

The deadline for purchases and season renewals is Nov. 16.

All seats are general admission.

Season ticket prices are $75 for adults, $60 senior citizens, $40 UH students and ages 17-younger.

Individual game tickets will go on sale Nov. 18. Prices are $7 adults, $6 senior citizens, $4 UH students and ages 17-younger. Tickets for the Rainbow Wahine Classic, which will include national champion Connecticut, are $1 more.

The box office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Phone purchases can be made by calling 944-2697 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Rainbows open the season Nov. 23 against UCLA in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort Classic.

UH will host four tournaments before the Western Athletic Conference season begins Jan. 2 against UTEP.

TENNIS

• Compass sequel: Another "compass draw" tournament will be held this weekend at the Schofield courts.

There will be men's, women's and mixed doubles competition.

The tournament is being put on by the Hawai'i Tennis Foundation. Anyone with base access is welcome to attend and compete. Entry fee is $10 per person.

The event is designed for players of all ages and abilities, as losing players will play as much as winning players.
