World Series, 1:30 p.m., Fox. A World Series without the Yankees or the Braves? Does it count? Apparently, because they're ready to do it now. The best-of-seven series starts.

Of Note

"Lethal Weapon 3" (1992), 7 p.m., ABC. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are back to their mix of action and humor. This time, the plot involves a former cop who's now a nasty gunrunner. Joe Pesci returns from the second movie; Rene Russo joins.

"Touched by an Angel," 7 p.m., CBS. The angels help a girl with an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

"The Lost World," 5-9 p.m. and 9 p.m.-1 a.m., A&E. Bob Hoskins stars in the Arthur Conan Doyle tale of English explorers who happen into an unknown world.
