McCully gaming shop raidedPolice vice officers seized $11,500 cash and more than $2,000 worth of electronic surveillance and gambling equipment in an early morning raid today in McCully.
The alleged gambling activity at 1738 S. King St. near Washington Intermediate School operated around the clock, police said. Today's 2:30 a.m. raid capped a month-long investigation initiated by complaints from area businesses and residents, police said.
Twenty-five people were questioned, and police charged three with second-degree promotion of gambling, a misdemeanor. Wai Shiu Chan, 56; Xi Di He, 37, and Hua'en Shi, 30, were released on $100 bail. The three men represented the dealer, cashier and manager of the operation, police said.
