HONOLULU

Four girls arrested for robbing kids

Police arrested four girls, ages 15 and 16, suspected of committing a series of after-school robberies of middle-school children.

Seven robberies on Kalihi Street near H-1 Freeway were reported during the first two months of the year.

The teenage suspects were arrested Monday and released pending further investigation.


Bishop Museum hosts teachers

Bishop Museum will open its doors tonight to Hawai'i teachers to showcase educational programs available to them at its main campus.

From 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. teachers can tour the collection on display in the exhibit areas and see "Genetics!", the museum's newest traveling exhibit.

The University of Hawai'i's cloned, green-glowing mice also will be on display.

Admission to the museum is free for all Hawai'i teachers with proper identification. For reservations, call 848-4168.
