Ceremony honors infants who died

Advertiser Staff

The Perinatal Bereavement Network, a group of nurses and social workers who offer support for families who have lost infants, is sponsoring a candle-lighting service at the chapel of Tripler Army Medical Center to remember babies who have died through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancies, stillbirth and newborn deaths.

The third annual service will take place at 7 p.m. tomorrow. Participants will light a candle, place a poem or photo in a communal scrapbook put together by nurses from six area hospitals and "honor and remember a baby lost," according to Glenda Tali, the charge nurse at the Castle Medical Center's Birth Center.

For more information, contact Tali at 263-5374 or Cindy Nachtigall at 433-6606.
