Two Hawai'i teams fourth

Two teams from Hawai'i finished fourth in the USA League National Championships, held in September and October in Palm Springs, Calif., and Tucson, Ariz.
The Howard Tacub Tennis team, a women's 4.0 team, fell to a Southern Section squad in the semifinals. In men's play, the Wiwo'ole team fell to a squad from Southern California, also in the semifinals.
USA League Tennis is the world's largest recreational tennis league with 360,000 players throughout the country.

FREE DIVING
The Pacific Cup of Freediving will begin a one-week run Monday at Kona, Hawai'i, the first time the event has been held in the United States. Athletes from more than 40 countries will compete in the event.
Free divers descend into the water without the aid of breathing equipment, descending to depths of over 500 feet.
