AROUND TOWN
Orchestra will accompany film

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

Elizabeth Lindsey Buyers' documentary, "Then There Were None," will be shown with orchestral accompaniment at 8 p.m. Nov. 1 and 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Lindsey Buyers narrates, and the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra will play. The Hawai'i International Film Festival is involved in the event.

The award-winning film traces the history of the Hawaiian people, combining photographs with vintage film clips and contemporary footage to explore the journey of the Hawaiians since Capt. James Cook landed in the Islands in 1778. The music supporting the film will include excerpts from Lalo Schifrin's "Queen Lili'uokalani Symphony."

Tickets: $57, $42, $32, $27 and $15, on sale through the symphony box office.

Reservations: 792-2000.
