Six candidates in live TV forum

Six candidates whose opponents declined to debate will take part in a live TV forum tonight as part of the "Vote! 2002: Candidates Debate" series sponsored by 'Olelo Community Television.

The forum will air from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oceanic Channel 54 and Oceanic Digital Control.

Participating will be Republican candidates Corinne Ching of House District 27 (Liliha, Pu'unui), Sam Moku of House District 48 (Kane'ohe), Pam Lee Smith of House District 43 ('Ewa Beach, West Loch) and Terri Lacene of Senate District 23 (Kane'ohe, Kahuku); and

Democratic candidates Brian Schatz of House District 25 (Makiki, Tantalus) and Maile Shimabukuro of House District 45 (Wai'anae, Makaha).
