"Free First Sunday," free admission to the academy and all its galleries the first Sunday of each month through Dec. 1, 1-5 p.m. today, Honolulu Academy of Arts. Demonstrations and Interpretations of Buddhist Arts, visiting Japanese artists and craft technicians will demonstrate the arts of sculpting, scroll and mandala painting, 1:30-4:30 p.m. today and next Sunday with free admission and 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, included in regular $7 admission, courtyards and galleries, Honolulu Academy of Arts. 532-8700.

University of Hawai'i-MAnoa art Gallery, invites submissions for the 8th Annual International Shoebox Sculpture Exhibition to be held March 9-April 18, 2003.
