Tonight's Must-See
"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. Wrapping up its sixth season, "Raymond" was in top form. Its perfectly defined characters could bounce off each other in fresh ways. That set up the three-parter that closed the season. The first part reruns today with Ray's wife (Patricia Heaton) ordering his mom (Doris Roberts) to go away.
Of Note
Football, 6:30 p.m., ABC. The college guys take over with Auburn at Southern Cal. In a week, the pros' regular season starts for "Monday Night Football."
"Like Mother, Like Son: The Strange Story of Sante and Kenny Kimes" (2001), 9 p.m., Lifetime. Mary Tyler Moore and Gabriel Olds are superb in this true tale of a woman who maneuvered her son into being a con man.
"World Trade Center: Rise and Fall of an American Icon," 6 and 10 p.m., History Channel. Over the next 10 days, TV will take major looks back at the Sept. 11 attacks. This two-hour film views the history of the towers and at why they didn't withstand the attack.
