The Florida Marlins yesterday called up right-handed pitcher Justin Wayne, who starred at Punahou School and Stanford.

Wayne, who was the No. 5 overall selection by the Montreal Expos in the 2000 Major League Baseball draft, is scheduled to start against the New York Mets tomorrow at Shea Stadium.

The Marlins released Homer Bush to make room for Wayne and catcher/first baseman Brian Banks on the 40-man roster.
