Journey will play Blaidell twice

With the first night heading for a sell-out, a second Journey concert has been added to the rock group's O'ahu itinerary: 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11, Blaisdell Arena. Tickets go on sale today at the box office and Ticket Plus outlets.

Journey, with new lead belter Steve Augueri (formerly of Tall Stories), also performs Oct. 10 at the arena and on Oct. 12 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The crew includes guitarist Neal Schon, bassist Ross Valory, keyboardist Jonathan Cain and drummer Deen Castronovo.

Independent film seeks performers

Vertov Industries, makers of "Sleepless," will hold an open call audition for performers tomorrow and Sunday for a no-budget independent feature.

Production will be from Sept. 20 to Oct. 20. All types of performers of all ages are sought.

9/11 memorial concert planned

"We Remember 9/11," a free memorial concert, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 in Kawaiaha'o Church.

The Honolulu Community Concert Band, Kawaiaha'o Church Choir, the Hawai'i Ecumenical Chorale and the Kawaiolaonapukanileo Vocal Ensemble will perform. Information: 532-1260.
