Ribbon is your ticket to Aloha Festival events

Aloha Festivals events large and small are continuing throughout the state, and so the question looms: Have you gotten your Aloha Festivals ribbon yet?

These keepsakes get you in to a number of festivities for free or at a discount (for instance, $2 off the general admission price of $5 at the Sept. 21-22 Hawai'i Garlic Festival and Home Grown Products show at the Waikiki Shell). Some stores and restaurants also offer discounts to ribbon wearers.

Ribbons are available statewide at $5 each at 7-Eleven stores, Aloha Airlines ticket offices, Aloha Festivals events, Bank of Hawaii branches, Hilo Hattie stores, Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays ticket offices and Safeway stores. On O'ahu, you can get them at Ala Moana Center, a number of hotels in Waikiki, Tower Records stores, Windward Mall and other outlets. Online, check out www.alohafestivals.com.
