Missing swimmer believed dead

Advertiser Staff

A body found floating early today at Ala Moana Beach is believed to be that of a 38-year-old man who was reported missing Sunday. Fire Capt. Kennison Tejada said two women saw the body floating a few yards from the shoreline in about 2 feet of water at the beach near McCoy Pavilion at about 6 a.m.

A city lifeguard retrieved the body and the man was pronounced dead at 6:20 a.m., Tejada said.
