Save time by presoaking, freezing beans

If you like the healthfulness and economy of dried beans but rue the time it takes to soak them, soak large amounts at one time, drain and divide into recipe portions, seal in plastic bags and freeze. No need to defrost, just allow 10 minutes longer cooking time.
