Tonight's Must-See

"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. Even during a so-so season, "ER" had some strong hours. Here is a rerun of one of the best. Dying of a brain tumor, Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards) grasps at bonding with his teen daughter. They spend his final days in Hawai'i in an episode with restraint, emotion and intelligence.

"Lathe of Heaven," 6 and 10 p.m., A&E. Here's a second chance to see this superb fantasy film. Lukas Haas plays a young man whose dreams come true — even though no one else realizes it.

"Annie" (1999), 5 p.m., ABC Family. A rerun of the wonderful ABC musical remake. Victor Garber is a fine Daddy Warbucks with great support from Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth.

"It's a Miracle" season opener, 7 p.m., Pax TV. This good-hearted series, hosted by Richard Thomas, is usually worth catching. It opens its fifth season with survival stories from the World Trade Center.
