• LHP Dusty Bergman (UH '97-'99) — Began season at Double-A Arkansas before being promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake (1-1, 6.44 ERA). The former UH starter was used strictly as a relief pitcher this season in Anaheim Angels system.
• OF Darren Blakely (UH '96-98) — Played at Double-A Mobile (.217, 8 HRs, 57 RBIs, 10-of-14 SBs. Also played at Triple-A Portland (.133 in four games) in San Diego Padres system.
• SS Brandon Chaves (UH-Hilo '99; Hilo High '97) — Played at low -A Hickory (.248, 56 runs, 44 RBIs and 10-of-17 steals) in Pittsburgh Pirates system.
• INF Rodney Choy Foo (Kailua '00) — Had extended spring training then assigned at low-A Columbus (.264, 14 doubles, 8 triples, 8 HRs, 44 RBIs, 16-of-19 SBs) in Cleveland Indians system.
• RHP Jeff Coleman (UH '01) — Pitched at low-A Visalia (5-1, 3.99 ERA, 52-14 K/W ratio in 65¡ innings of relief) in Oakland Athletics system.
• INF Keoni De Renne (Iolani '97) — Played primarily second base at Double-A Greenville (.275, 51 runs, 25 doubles, 3 triples, 3 HRs, .355 OBP) in Atlanta Braves system.
• LHP Thomas Ford (UH-Hilo '96-'00) — Pitched at high-A Frederick (2-3, 4.85 ERA, 65 innings of relief) in Baltimore Orioles system.
• RHP Mark Johnson (UH '94-'96) — Began season in Milwaukee Brewers' Triple-A Indianapolis, then went to Detroit Tigers' Triple-A Toledo. Triple-A totals were 4-1, 4.95 ERA. Made six starts in 12 appearances. Also made five appearances at Double-A Erie in Tigers system.
• RHP Jason Kahi Ka'anoi (Kamehameha '99) — Pitched at low-A Burlington (1-9, 5.07, starting 15 of 29 appearances with 76-38 K/W ratio in 120á) in the Kansas City Royals system.
• 1B Micah Kila Ka'aihue (Iolani '02) — Assigned to rookie Gulf Coast League (.259, 8 doubles, 3 HRs, 21 RBIs with .381 on-base percentage and .381 slugging) in Kansas City Royals system.
• RHP Shane Komine (Kalani '98) — Pitched at low-A Visalia (1-3, 5.96 ERA), making 18 relief appearances with no starts in the Oakland Athletics system.
• SS Kaulana Kuhaulua (Wai'anae '98) — Was assigned to Double-A Huntsville out of spring training, but ended up at low-A Quad City (.231, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 5 HRs) in Minnesota Twins system.
• RHP Brandon League (St. Louis '01) — Pitched at low-A Auburn (7-2, 3.00 ERA, 64-20 K/W ratio in 81 innings from 15 starts) in Toronto Blue Jays system.
• INF Keith Lu'uloa (Moloka'i '92) — Originally assigned to Double-A Huntsville, but went to Triple-A Indianapolis (.189 in 31 games) and returned to Huntsville (.254, 12 doubles, 4 triples, 9 HRs, 39 RBIs with .367 on-base percentage and .418 slugging) in Milwaukee Brewers system.
• RHP Jeff Martin (Kailua High through junior year) — Pitched at Single-A Stockton (4-5, 3.23 ERA, 82-34 K/W ratio in 97á innings, mostly as a reliever) in the Cincinnati Reds system.
• RHP Patrick McNair (UH '98-'99) — Pitched at low-A Lexington (1-2, 3.21 ERA, 57-34 K/W ratio, with five saves in 37 relief appearances) in Houston Astros system.
• RHP Hubert Pruett (Kamehameha '01) — Pitched in Arizona rookie league (4-1, 4.91 ERA, 36-17 K/W ratio in 40¡ innings. Made 11 appearances with five starts in Milwaukee Brewers system.
• SS Rex Rundgren (Mid-Pacific '99) — Played at low-A Kane County (.233, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 2 HRs, 40 RBIs) in Florida Marlins system.
• 1B Chad Santos (St. Louis '99) — Played at high-A Wilmington (.240, 21 doubles, 9 HRs, 54 RBIs) in Kansas City Royals system.
• INF Bronson Sardinha (Kamehameha '01) — Started at low-A Greensboro (.263, 13 doubles, 12 HRs, 44 RBIs with .334 on-base, .406 slugging) then moved to short-season-A Staten Island (.325, 8 doubles, 4 HRs, 16 RBIs with .432 on-base and .488 slugging) in New York Yankees system. Will attend mini-camp in Tampa, Fla.
• C Dane Sardinha (Kamehameha '97) — Played a Double-A Chattanooga (.206, 20 doubles, 4 HRs, 40 RBIs) in Cincinnati Reds system. Selected to play in the Arizona Fall League.
• INF Duke Sardinha (Kamehameha '98) — Played at advanced rookie Casper (.248, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 15 RBIs) in Colorado Rockies system.
• RHP Jay Spurgeon (UH '95-'97) — Pitched at Triple-A Rochester (4-14, 5.38 ERA with 84-42 K/W ratio in 154 innings) in Baltimore Orioles system.
• C Grady Symonds (UH '02) —Played at advanced rookie Missoula (.280, 2 doubles) before being promoted to the high-A Lancaster (.200) in Arizona Diamondbacks system.
• C Mike Tejada (lives here) —Started at low-A Asheville (.228, 17 doubles, 10 HRs, 40 RBIs) before being promoted to Double-A Carolina (.250) in Colorado Rockies system.
• SS Bryce Uegawachi (Kaiser '97, HPU '98-'01) — Played at short-season-A Mahoning Valley (.261, 5 doubles, 10 RBIs) in Cleveland Indians system.
• OF Shane Victorino (St. Anthony '99) — Played at Double-A Jacksonville (.258, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 4 HRs, 61 runs, 34 RBIs, 45-of-61 SBs) in Los Angeles Dodgers system. Invited to Arizona Fall League.
• RHP Jerome Williams (Waipahu '99) — Pitched at Triple-A Fresno (6-11, 3.59 ERA, 130-50 K/W ratio in 160á innings) in San Francisco Giants system. Played under manager Lenn Sakata (Kalani '71).
• RHP Tyler Yates (Kaua'i '95, UH-Hilo '96-'98) — Pitched at Triple-A Norfolk (2-2, 1.32 ERA, 34-13 K/W ratio in 34 innings) in New York Mets system before arm injury ended his season. Was recalled by the Mets for one day, but did not make an appearance.
• Note: OF Brian Rooke (UH-Hilo '00-'01) and INF Jandin Thornton-Murray (St. Louis '99) were released from the Oakland Athletics and Chicago Cubs, respectively, during the season.
