Online upgrade at Turtle Bay

Advertiser Staff

Turtle Bay Resort has built a wireless Internet network that lets guests use laptops and handheld computers to get online.

Turtle Bay becomes one of many hotels in Hawai'i to install wireless systems in the last year. Hoteliers see wireless Internet service as a way to appeal to affluent, tech-savvy younger travelers and attract business travelers, meetings and conventions.

The wireless service was engineered by Pacific Direct Connect, a Honolulu-based wireless provider that also engineered wireless systems for the Halekulani and Hilton Hawaiian Village hotels.
