Windward drivers to face delays

Roadwork will cause delays on several major highways this week, particularly for Windward drivers.
Resurfacing of the Likelike Highway from Emmeline Place to the Wilson Tunnel will cause lane closures this week.
One of the Honolulu-bound lanes will be closed between Valley View Drive and Kula Kolea Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction of retaining walls.
A Kane'ohe-bound lane will be closed between Nalanieha Street to Valley View Drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for setting portable concrete barriers.
The installation of telephone duct lines from tomorrow through Friday will close the right lane of the Pali Highway in the Kailua-bound direction, from the emergency truck ramp to just beyond Castle Junction, and the Kamehameha Highway left-hand turn lane onto the Kailua-bound Kalaniana'ole Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
One Honolulu-bound lane of Kalaniana'ole Highway from the upper Makapu'u lookout to the lower Makapu'u lookout near Sea Life Park will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday for archaeological survey work for an upcoming rock scaling project. Traffic will be contra-flowed.
One kokohead-bound lane of Kalaniana'ole Highway between 'Ainakoa Avenue and West Hind Drive will be closed tomorrow through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for resurfacing and waterline work.
The state Department of Transportation will hold an informational meeting for Farrington Highway improvements from Nanakuli to Makaha at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ma'ili Elementary School cafeteria, at 87-360 Kula'aupuni St. in Wai'anae.
