Fistfight ends with man dead

Police are investigating the death of a man who was involved in a fight yesterday in an apartment complex parking lot near the intersection of Lusitana and Alapa'i streets. The death, which is being investigated as a homicide, occurred after an argument between two men escalated to a fistfight at about 6:30 a.m., police said.

The victim, 39, staggered upstairs to his apartment before collapsing, police said. He was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, where he died. The suspect, 32, was also taken to Queen's. He was arrested after being treated.
