MASON HORIUCHI, former director of Japan sales for Hawaiian Airlines, has joined Atlantis Adventures as part of a restructuring of leadership in its eastbound sales and marketing program. The new Atlantis director of sales i Asian market is a 28-year veteran of the Japan travel market and past general manager of Kobayashi Travel Services' Tour Shop/Aloha World division.

Also as part of the restructuring, MICHELLE QUENGA, who transferred from Atlantis Guam last year, was named sales manager for the Asian market. Quenga will be responsible for promoting the east-bound Atlantis product line.

DICK CRISLIP, former principal of Wahiawa Elementary School, has been elected Lions Club district governor overseeing the more than 2,000 members of 64 Lions clubs statewide. Crislip, a member of the Mililani Lions Club since 1979, has served as Lions zone chairman, region chairman, vice district governor and district chairman. His career in the state Department of Education has included teaching and positions as counselor, vice principal and principal.

DARYL AKIYOSHI has been named assistant general manager of the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, with responsibility for day-to-day operations and direct oversight of the hotel's rooms division. He will also play an active role in the hotel's ongoing $15 million renovation of guest rooms. Akiyoshi is a 20-year veteran of the visitor industry, 15 of them with Outrigger Hotels and Resorts. One of the original staff members of 'Ohana Hotels, he was instrumental in development of that moderately priced Outrigger hotel brand and was in charge of 'Ohana's Makai Division.

• Honolulu fund-raiser and community volunteer JUDITH ANN MUNCASTER has been named associate executive director of Ballet Hawai'i, which marked its 25th anniversary this past season. Muncaster previously served as director of development and alumnae affairs at La Pietra i Hawai'i School for Girls, directing its $5 million campus rejuvenation fund-raising campaign. She also has served in similar capacities with other organizations, including Hawai'i Opera Theatre, Hawai'i Theatre Center and the Honolulu Symphony, as well as on the boards of directors of the symphony, Friends of East-West Center, Hawai'i Opera Theatre, Ballet Hawai'i and the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

FRED DeANGELO, executive chef at the Palomino Restaurant for five years, has been appointed executive chef and partner at the 272-seat Tiki's Grill & Bar, scheduled to open Oct. 19 at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. The second-floor restaurant, with a South Paci-fic motif and "volcano" bar, will offer "Hawai'i Regional" cuisine and American fare. DeAngelo also worked at the Hyatt Regency Maui, on the opening team of the Hyatt Regency Kaua'i Resort (Dondero's Italian Restaurant) and at The Black Orchid and Gaylord's at Kilohana, on Kaua'i.

RENE McWADE has been named vice president and general counsel for the Hawai'i Health Systems Corp., the state "safety net," public-benefit healthcare system. McWade was previously assistant general counsel and, before that, corporate risk manager, at HHSC.

LEN DaSILVA, former senior vice president of retail store operations for Hilo Hattie, has been named chief operating officer of the Hawaiian products and clothing merchandiser. The former general manager of Heritage Duty Free in Vancouver, Canada, has been with Hilo Hattie since December 2000.

GARY M. FAST, a 16-year veteran of the restaurant industry, half of that time in management, including brewpubs and restaurants in the Pacific Northwest, has been named general manager of Kona Brewing Co.'s Kona Brewpub.

MARIE GLORIA has been named vice president and manager of Datatronix Financial Services Inc.'s new San Leandro center in California. Datatronix, which offers outsourcing services to financial institutions, is owned by City Bank's parent, CB Bancshares Inc.
