Charges filed in alleged assault

Police have charged a 41-year-old Wahiawa man with nine counts of third-degree sexual assault involving a juvenile girl.

Antonio Santos is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Search continues for missing man

Police are still searching for 82-year-old Hiroki "Richard" Sanada of Mo'ili'ili, who left his Kuilei Street apartment Thursday at 8 p.m.

Sanada frequents downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, police said. He is wearing a black baseball cap with a "HAWAII" logo. Sanada recently suffered a heart attack and requires medication.

Police checked out several unconfirmed sightings over the weekend.

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Philip Camero of HPD's Missing Person Detail at 529-3394 or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.

Death of man leads to arrest

A 32-year-old man with no permanent local address was arrested by police Saturday on suspicion of second-degree murder following the death of a man he had fought with earlier, police said.

The arrest occurred at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, about four hours after the alleged fight took place in a parking lot on the 1300 block of Lusitana Street.

The medical examiner's office yesterday identified the dead man as Tony Martin Jr., 39. Martin was pronounced dead Saturday at The Queen's Medical Center at 7:39 a.m. He was taken to the hospital after collapsing in his apartment after the fight.

Homicide investigators are awaiting autopsy findings to determine if Martin's death is connected to injuries from the fight. The man who was arrested has been released pending further investigation.
