Police seek suspects in two O'ahu bank robberies

Two bank robberies on O'ahu yesterday one of them involving a male suspect wearing women's accessories occurred in a span of three hours.
The first robbery occurred at the American Savings' Kapalama branch at 12:50 p.m. The man walked into the bank at 1190 Dillingham Blvd. and passed a note to the teller that said he was armed, police said. The suspect was last seen running mauka on Kohou Street. No weapon was seen.
A man robbed the HomeStreet Bank on King Street yesterday.
The robber is described in his late 30s to his early 40s, 5-foot-8, weighing 160 pounds to 180 pounds with a medium build, police said. He wore a black long sleeve T-shirt, dark pants, shoes and baseball cap.
The second robbery occurred at about 2:40 p.m. at the HomeStreet Bank at 2 S. King St.
The robber entered the bank and passed a demand note to the teller. He was last seen running in the kokohead direction on South King Street, police said.
He is described as in his 30s, 5-foot-7, 180 pounds with a medium build. He had a tan complexion, brown wavy hair worn in a bun with light brown highlights. The man was wearing a white "Vanpool Hawaii" T-shirt, dark pants and carrying a large dark handbag. He also wore a ladies wrist watch, dark nail polish and sunglasses.
