Police chief awards medals of valor

Police officer Johnny Agoo kisses his daughter after he and fellow officers Tay Deering, Ervine Kaulia and Ronald Jacobs were awarded Honolulu Police Department bronze medals of valor yesterday by Chief Lee Donohue. Agoo, Deering and Kaulia rescued a man from a burning vehicle on Jan. 21; Jacobs prevented a woman from jumping off a freeway overpass Oct. 1. The four join 85 other officers who have received bronze medals for valor.
