Beer, food and more to be featured at Oct. 4 fest

The Castle Resorts Diamond Head Beerfest will assemble beer, food and music from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Diamond Head Greens, inside the Waikiki Shell complex.
More than 90 different premium beers, ales, stouts and porters from breweries around the world will be featured, including Mainland brewers and Honolulu microbreweries. Varieties include lagers, bocks, pilsners, honey beer, and winter and Oktoberfest seasonal varieties.
Restaurants preparing food include Gordon Biersch, Brew Moon, Ryan's Grill and Pipeline Cafe; special dishes that complement beer will be among the offerings.
Jazz and classic rock entertainment is on the agenda, with performances by the Ernie Provenchur Quartet and Dita and Ells.
Attendance is restricted to those 21 and older.
Tickets, $22 ($28 at the door), are on sale at the Blaisdell box office and Ticket Plus locations; free beer tastings plus soft drinks and coffees and some snacks included.
Pupu plates will cost $4 to $9.
