Man's body found in Ala Wai harbor

An 83-year-old man may have drowned after injuring himself in a fall at Ala Wai Yacht Harbor.
Police and paramedics retrieved the body of a man floating in the the Ala Wai Boat Harbor.

The body – recovered today between slips 98 and 99 at the yacht harbor, shortly before 11 a.m. – had injuries consistent with an accidental fall, police said after conferring with an investigator from the medical examiner’s office.

The case has been classified as an unattended death, pending autopsy findings.

The man owned a sailboat, which was moored at slip 99. His body was recovered in the water at the rear of the boat.
