Man arrested after shots fired

Gunshots were fired during a fight between a group of men yesterday at a convenience store in Makaha but no one was injured.

Police arrested a Wai'anae man, 47, on suspicion of attempted murder and first-degree terroristic threatening. The 6 p.m. incident at the 7-Eleven store at 85-010 Farrington Highway started as an argument between the man and a 32-year-old male acquaintance.

When several of the younger man's friends intervened, the Wai'anae man allegedly went to his parked vehicle and brought out a .22-caliber revolver. Two shots were fired during a struggle for the weapon.
