Rockslide closes Kamehameha Highway

A section of Kamehameha Highway near Mililani was closed tonight, and may be closed until at least Friday morning, because of a rockslide.Police said the slide occurred at about 8:45 on Mililani side of the Kipapa Gulch bridge. One boulder struck a pickup truck, but no one was injured, police said.
Several other rocks slid onto the road and police closed Kamehameha Highway from Lanikuhana Avenue to the south side of the bridge. A state highways crew was on the scene to clean up the rocks and police did not know how long the road would be closed.
