Hunting, fishing event set for Koko Head range

Local activities for National Hunting and Fishing Day will be tomorrow and Sunday at Koko Head Shooting Range.

There will be opportunities for people to gain hands-on experience in hunting, fishing and shooting.

Activities will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.

A donation of canned food will be exchanged for an activity coupon, good for one activity at the event. Coupons can also be purchased for $1. All proceeds from the event will go to the Hawai'i Food Bank.

There will be contests and activities for skeet shooting; .22 rifle and handgun use; muzzleloader; archery; airgun; and fish casting.
