Lee shoots 62, leads at Waikoloa

Regan Lee, who finished his first season on Arizona's Gateway Tour on Thursday, shot a course-record 10-under-par 62 yesterday for a five-shot lead at the Waikoloa Open at the Waikoloa Village Golf Club.
Lee, of 'Aiea, is the tournament's defending champion.
Kevin Hayashi and Lance Suzuki each shot 67s, followed by Ron Castillo Jr. (68) and Jerry Mullen and Lance Taketa (69).
Dean Prince leads the senior professionals, shooting a 69. Dennis Kawachi, Dan Nishimoto and Tommy Ukauka shot 70s.
Tommy Kim leads the championship (amateur) flight after a first-round 70. Shannon Sibayan was second with a 71, followed by Gabriel Wilson (72).

New foursome added: Kailua's Larry Stubblefield, Sergio Garcia's father Victor, Rex Caldwell and John Harris received sponsor's exemptions to play in next week's Turtle Bay Championship.
The Senior PGA Tour event will be Friday through Oct. 6 at Turtle Bay's Palmer Course. Qualifying is Monday at 8 a.m. and there will be Pro-Ams Wednesday and Thursday.
Stubblefield is a member at Oahu Country Club and a partner with Jack Wolfe Insurance Inc. He is in the Hawai'i Golf Hall of Fame. This year, he qualified for the U.S. Senior Open and made the cut.
Victor Garcia is his son's coach along with being a pro who has played in several senior tournaments. Caldwell played on the regular tour.
Harris worked in insurance and is in Minnesota's Golf Hall of Fame. He played on the regular tour in the '70's, finishing 26th at the 1976 Hawaiian Open. He turned 50 in June and has won $87,000 in 10 events.
SOCCER
UH loses: Weber State's Tiffany Foerster scored two unassisted goals late in the second half to spark a comeback victory over the University of Hawai'i, 3-2, in a women's soccer game last night at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
Foerster scored in the 73rd and 75th minutes.
Freshman Carmen Calpo scored at the 13:49 mark on an assist from Tia Medeiros. Calpo later assisted Mia Moe (51:28) early in the second half.
Hawai'i's leading scorers Natasha Kai (illness) and Arlene Devitt (red card) did not play.
Weber State's Jessica Murphy scored on an assist from Rochelle Hoover in the 48th minute to tie the game at 1.
Hawai'i outshot Weber State 24-13.
VOLLEYBALL
Chaminade stops Hilo: Kahala Kabalis had 20 kills and Kuumomi Kaaihue 19 to lead Chaminade to a 30-25, 23-30, 31-29, 30-28 victory over Hawai'i-Hilo in a Pacific West Conference volleyball match at McCabe Gym.
Chaminade is 9-1 overall, 3-0 in the PacWest. Hilo is 5-10 and 1-3.
