WASHINGTON — Here are some actions in Congress last week.

Key House votes:

1. Abortion

The House on Wednesday approved, 229-189, a bill that would allow hospitals, doctors and others to refuse to provide abortions and allow insurers to refuse to pay for abortions. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

Hawai'i votes: Neil Abercrombie (D) NAY; Patsy Mink (D) DID NOT VOTE

2. Pension reform

The House passed Wednesday, 258-152, a resolution urging Congress to complete work on legislation that would protect pensions. A "yea" vote was in support of the resolution.
