The late U.S. Rep. Patsy Mink will lie in state beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday in the state Capitol rotunda.

A public service for Mink will be also held at the state Capitol rotunda at 10 a.m. on Friday. The service will be followed by a private burial at Punchbowl.

U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie said House Speaker Dennis Hastert will send an official congressional delegation to Hawai'i on Thursday to attend the services.

U.S. Sen. Dan Inouye, who returned to Washington, D.C., yesterday, said he will come back to Honolulu for the services later this week. U.S. Sen. Daniel Akaka also is expected to attend.
