An injured suspect who was captured 14 hours after escaping Sunday from The Queen's Medical Center has been charged with second-degree burglary and escape. Samuel Kaai, 18, of Nanakuli is being held in lieu of $11,000 bail.

Kaai was arrested March 20 on suspicion of breaking into a restaurant at Pacific Beach Hotel. He escaped shortly after midnight Sunday from the hospital and was captured on Vineyard Boulevard.

But a snorkler spotted the man's body about 60 feet under water and notified fire officials.
