Job fair could attract 3,000

More than 3,000 people are expected to line up Saturday to apply for 100 positions with the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Apprentice Program Job Fair.

The four-year program pays students apprentice wages of $15.40 an hour as they work toward a tuition-free associate's degree. The job fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marine Education & Training Center, 10 Sand Island Access Road.
