"We're concerned because she has children (ages 8-16) and no one's heard from her," said Phil Camero of HPD's Missing Persons Detail. Iseke was last seen by family members at about 2 p.m. at her Lunalilo Street home in Makiki.

Since late yesterday, police have checked out reports that she was seen in Punalu'u and He'eia, said Camero. Iseke is known to frequent the Hau'ula area, he added.

Arraignment set for theft suspect

One of two people indicted March 25 in connection with the theft of $100,000 from an 84-year-old woman will be arraigned Monday at Circuit Court on multiple felony charges that include first-degree theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, second-degree forgery and money laundering.

May K. Cordeiro, 55, was arrested Tuesday on a $180,000 warrant.

Erma H. Mendiola, 50, who is also known as Haunani Mendiola, is charged with similar offenses in the 18-count indictment. A $90,000 warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Cordeiro and Mendiola are accused of using nine different credit cards belonging to an elderly woman to purchase goods and services without the owner's permission from April through July 2002. Cordeiro and Mendiola befriended and gained the trust of the woman after selling her a $1,400 vacuum cleaner.
