Tonight's Must-See

"Ed," 8 p.m., NBC. Last week's episode ended with a dandy twist. Ed's girlfriend, Frankie (Sabrina Lloyd), learned of his obsession with Carol (Julie Bowen). She learned he once wooed Carol in a suit of armor. Then Frankie left notes saying she could also be romantic. Ed promptly met an armor-clad suitor and assumed it was Frankie. It was Carol. Tonight, the triangle gets trickier as it sets up next week's season finale.

Of Note

"Fastlane," 7 p.m., Fox. Tommy Lee plays a drug boss and Naomi Campbell plays a porn distributor. That means undercover duties have Van and Billie (Peter Facinelli and Tiffani Thiessen) pretending to be porn actors.

"Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story," 8 p.m., USA. Here's a third chance to see this movie, which offers a balanced view of the former New York mayor. James Woods is excellent.

"John Doe," 8 p.m., Fox. Since the beginning of the series, Doe's mind has been stuffed with information. That changes after he is struck by lightning.

"Regular Joe," 8:30 p.m., ABC. The second episode of this series has the dad (Daniel Stern) trying to enforce a weekly night for the family to spend more time together.
