Tonight's Must-See

Basketball, 1 & 3:30 p.m., CBS. The NCAA's Final Four collide today at the NCAA tournament in New Orleans. It will be Kansas vs. Marquette first, followed by Texas vs. Syracuse. The winners meet Monday for the championship.

"Nashville Star," 9 p.m., USA Network; rerunning at 10 p.m. Like "American Idol," this show offers strong talent and flashy visuals. Unlike "Idol," it expects its contestants to be songwriters, with each contestant performing an original song tonight. The country-music competition started with six men and six women, then eliminated three women. Balance was restored last week when Travis Howard and Prentiss Varnon were ousted. That might boost the odds of Jamey Garner. Like Howard and Varnon, he has leading-man looks; he also wails a hot harmonica.

Of Note

"Jaws" (1975), 6 & 10:50 p.m., AMC, or "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984), 7:30 p.m., NBC. When in doubt, catch a Steven Spielberg adventure. "Jaws" established him as a movie master; "Temple of Doom," the sequel to "Raiders of the Lost Ark," was mildly disappointing by Spielberg standards but terrific by any other standards.

"The Making of Fear Factor," 7 p.m., NBC. Behind-the-scenes views of this nasty show are offered.

"Are You Hot? The Search for America's Sexiest People," 8 p.m. ABC. TV can underestimate the taste of the public, after all. This dimwitted series had judges staring at bodies and assigning numbers. It was embarrassingly bad. ABC pulled it from the schedule. It is airing the final two hours when few people will notice.

"Pretend You Don't See Her" (2002), 8 p.m., Pax TV. Emma Samms stars in a fairly interesting mystery movie. She plays a woman who tries to change her identity after witnessing a murder.

"Saturday Night Live," 10:35 p.m., NBC. Bernie Mac hosts this new episode, with music from Good Charlotte.
