Community Editorial Board tackles healthcare, tourism

Issues ranging from long-term care to the prospects and problems associated with "health tourism" dominated much of the conversation with the latest group of folks who served as The Advertiser's Community Editorial Board.

Members who served in February and March were:

Joan White Gerald Lam

Stan Snodgrass Jim Reddekopp
• Joan White, former vice president of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii, who remains involved in in healthcare and related issues.

• Gerald Lam, a local-born sportsman, entrepreneur, businessman and attorney who is active in the Chinese and Hawaiian communities.

• Stan Snodgrass, a World War II veteran who was with the Healthcare Association of Hawaii. A retired Navy chief hospital corpsman, Snodgrass is completing a book on naval medical research around the world.

• Jim Reddekopp, owner of Fly Away Holidays Inc. and Hawaiian Vanilla Co. Inc.
