Rough Riders rout Governors in East

Cameron Kimura batted 4 for 4 with a solo homer and pitched four innings for the win as the Roosevelt Rough Riders routed the Farrington Governors, 14-2, yesterday in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division game at Joey DeSa Field.

McKinley first baseman Devon Parkhurst tagged out Kahuku's Waika Carvalho on this fifth-inning pickoff play in yesterday's game. Kahuku defeated host McKinley, 8-4, in an OIA Eastern Division game.

Kimura walked one and struck out five.

Roosevelt's Brandon Morimoto hit a solo homer in the third, batted 3 for 3 and had five RBIs.

Ivan Fujii led off the game with a homer for the Rough Riders.

Calvin had a two-out, RBI single to center field, scoring Chad Rodrigues for the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning.

Clayton came in to the game in relief in the eighth inning to pick up the win.

Leilehua had seven of their nine hits in the fourth, highlighted by a two-run double by Edward Garma.
